Seven of us (4 adults and 3 children ages 9,10,11) spent a short but "SUHWEET!" one nighter at Ditka's Runaway Beach Resort following a fun but exhausting Disney Cruise and a surprise last vacation day at Universal for our boys this past spring break in April.  I'd found and reserved the resort online and since I only had online information and picutres to rely on (which can sometimes be misleading), I called the resort's front desk several times before our trip for reassurance that I'd made a good choice for our stay.  Each time I called, I spoke with "ubber" friendly staff who eagerly answered ALL of my questions in a very professional and helpful manner!  Still, the price for the quality we were paying for seemed too good to be true, so as our trip's planner, I remained nervous until we checked into our condo.   Check in was a breeze and the front gate security was a nice benefit to our stay.  Our condo looked new and freshly painted and beautifully appointed!  The kitchen was pretty, large and open, as was every room, including the bathrooms!  What a relief it was after our long trip to be able to stay here; we felt pampered by the fresh (and quiet) accommodations Ditka's provided us.   In fact we were refreshed to the point that once we dropped off our bags and ate some snacks, we went exploring.  There is a nice shopping center within walking distance and we also found a good steak restaurant within a short drive.  We were very impressed and the best part of of our stay was that my clan told me I should be a travel agent for finding such an impressive value.  Will DEFINATLY stay there again.  Congrats to Mike Ditka on this terrific resort!

My name is Vickie Horton and I have to share my special stay at the Mike Ditka Runaway Beach Club Resort. I took my three children there to celebrate my Daughters Birthday. We had the most amazing time!! Your resort is beautiful and very accomidating. It was conviently located to many stores, Resturants and the theme parks. We spent a very memorable morning at your resort, with a coffee cake w/ candles for my 4 year olds Birthday. We sang, ate, and opened presents at our mini party before hitting Disney for the day. I love your resort because it is clean, comfortable, very roomy, and has all the comforts of being at home. We will for sure be back to celebrate many more Birthdays in the future. I will recommend your place to everyone I know that plans on traveling to Orlando. Thanks so much for making our stay so memorable!

P.S. My little baby girl was happy...just a little jealous that it wasn't her Birthday! LOL!!

Me and the husband search high and low and we read basically every review we could. Yours was really more for families, and that's something that we loved. the kids had a fantastic time and they asked if and when we could do this again. although there was a driving distance to Universal Studios... we loved everything about the property. Our over all experience was perfect... everything was perfect... everything..

It is with the utmost honor and sincere pleasure that our family forward this “praise report” of the outstanding professional service and warm hospitality received from the entire staff at Mike Ditka Resorts Runaway Beach Club.

The peaceful “home-away-from-home” atmosphere was so addictive that after we relocated to a popular Disney resort for 2 nights, our children literally begged to return to the quiet serenity, as they longed to continue relaxing around the pool and pond areas which both echoed the meditative trinkling of their water fountains.

Our family really appreciated the resort’s careful attention to all the details that made our stay stress-free, such as “Dive-In” movies around the pool at night, a Playstation with video games, DVD movies, separate children’s pool with waterfalls, cabana deck area, a gym, video arcade, an indoor basketball court, a gift/grocery shop, fully equipped kitchen with all cleaning supplies and a private washer/dryer with detergent. 

The staff patiently attended to every question and concern that we posed, and always went out of their way to provide solutions for us, no matter how unique the issue; like kindly navigating us back “home” when we were stuck/lost late at night after missing the resorts’ free shuttle long after the Disney park closed.  For small yet critical assistance such as this, we’ll be forever grateful to the wonderfully sincere staff at the Mike Ditka Resorts Runaway Beach Club.  A special thanks goes out to the resort’s very compassionate front desk personnel, specifically the manager Richard, Juan, Kammy, Dana and Jessinia.

Mike Dikas resort is one of the best resorts that I have stayed in Orlando Florida I rate it an A++++++++++++++. “The Best!” Feels like you bought yourself a nice town home next to all the attraction….staying in Mike Dikas resort is a dream come true for a family.
